On, Jan. 16, 2024, Morningstar is updating the Fixed Income Region breakdown calculation due to an unintended discrepancy between the breakdowns for the Region and the Super Region and Primary Region.
Morningstar calculates the breakdowns from a hierarchical classification where their weights should align. Previously, the Region breakdown did not have the appropriate alignment for this classification.
As such, starting, Jan. 16, 2024, Morningstar will update the Region breakdown to the correct hierarchical classification, which should be completed by Feb. 6, 2024, for current and historical data.
The update will occur automatically, and clients do not need to take action, but clients who utilize this data should be aware of the change. Morningstar does not anticipate significant changes in the Region data values because of this update.
